After having seen my work in La Vanguardia for a feature on the fantasy cinema, the magazine Historia y Vida approached me to do their magazine covers.
History magazine have one particular issue: Due to their subject matter they are often reduced to using either statues or classical paintings for their covers, and often cannot stand apart from the competition. For Historia y Vida we went with my multilayered style of digital illustration, mixing retouched ancient art with photographs, textures and other elements. This proved to be a success and I kept doing the covers for the following 50 issues.
